From the newbie files.... Kris Magnusson!

Kris Magnusson is the newest SGG attendee. Here she is in the kitchen in a game of Himalaya with Lisa and Seana.

New friends from across the pond....
Martyn and Heather Skillern of Worcester, England visited the Salem area and joined the SGG on March 17, 2006. Here is a photo of our game of Royal Turf. This was Martyn's first visit to the US (Heather had been to the US before).
Poker Night.
Ooooh... nice green felt! On April 01, 2006 Lisa and I hosted a night of Texas Hold'em poker. Steve Bower (far left) is dealing. Left to right around the table are Lisa Johnson, Rafael Morales, Sao Lim and Lou Wainwright.
Gathering of Friends 2006 Prize Table.
In April 2006, Lisa and I attended the Gathering of Friends gaming convention in Columbus, Ohio. This is a photo of the incredible prize table which held almost 900 games!

Bob Day - July 15, 2006
Here is a 3-player game of Feurio! that took place at Bob Day on July 15, 2006. Seated around the table from left to right are Ron Savage, Eric Martin and my son Ian Johnson. By the way, it's called Bob Day because these once-a-month gaming days are run by Bob Scherer-Hoock in the basement of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Peabody, Massachusetts.
UNITY GAMES - XI
A photo taken at UG-XI on Saturday, August 19, 2006. This is our 4 player game of  Thurn & Taxis. The players seated around the table from left to right are Dave Fisk, Mark Edwards and my wife Lisa. Mark's son Zack looks on in hunger. Hey Mark, do you ever feed that kid??? Mark and I tied for first place with 20 points each.
UNITY GAMES - XI
Here's Ian (the unbearded one, lol) and Bruce Heroux (the bearded one) in a game of Congo Line at UG-XI. Hmm, never heard of this game before.
UNITY GAMES - XI
Ian and Zack in the middle of a game of Split Second. Looks like Ian is doing a great job discovering alot of games on his own here! Sorry about the funky camera angle. I was in a bad position. Let's just say it's artsy...
MiniCon 4
MiniCon 4... Friday night, August 25th. A 4-player game of Poison going on in the game room. Left to right around the table are Tony Sorrentino, Scott Robinson and Todd Hadley.
MiniCon 4
While me and the guys were playing Poison (pictured above) in the game room, Lisa, Quentin and Eric were busy playing Fairy Tale in the kitchen.
MiniCon 4
A game of Boomtown in progress. I prefer using real poker chips when we play this game rather than the plastic ones that come with the game. Ken Lawrence is seen making his card selection here. Seana Miller won this game with a whopping 98 points!
MiniCon 4
Saturday, August 26th. I taught a few folks how to play a prototype of mine that is based on building the Great Wall of China. Coincidentally, while this game was being played I received a phone call from Cambridge Games Factory telling me that they wanted to print this game and that they would be sending me a publishing agreement! The agreement is now signed, and this will be my first game published! Look for this one in Jan/Feb 2007! More details to follow.
MiniCon 4
Also on Saturday we played a game of Gracias which was suddenly interrupted when Ken Lawrence inexplicably sprouted bunny ears. Scott Robinson just happened to be there when it happened. Unimpressed, Seana continues to knit.
