Another Bob-Day... September 16, 2006
We ended the night with a great 5 player game of El Grande. Left to right are Matthew Gray, Rick Goodman, Don Dodge and Bob Scherer-Hoock. I was in the running for most of the game, but just couldn't pull ahead in the end. Rick won the game with 85 points while I placed second with 71 points.
RockCon II
I took this picture at an event called RockCon on Saturday, October 14, 2006 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The game being played is called Pounce. One player plays the role of a cat while the others are nervous mice trying to escape the cat's wrath. Ricardo Sedan is handing over a piece of cheese to an opponent. Meanwhile, Lyman Opie tries to dry off as he spilled his drink all over his shirt the last time he tried to pull his mouse back. I did not get a chance to play this game, but it looked great!
Lobster Trap 2006
Lobster Trap Gaming Convention on Friday, November 03, 2006. This is the clean-up after final scoring in a game of Timbuktu. This was my first playing of this game and I ended up winning with 107 points. Pictured are Tery Noseworthy, Warren Madden and standing is Bob Scherer-Hoock. This game took place in the "quiet room."
Lobster Trap 2006
Another new game for me and another win! This game of Silk Road was also played on Friday, November 03 and was new for everyone who played. Seated around the table from left to right are my wife Lisa, Rick Goodman, Don Dodge and Ian MacInnes. Mmmmm.... pizza......
Lobster Trap 2006
A battle of three Bryans (Brians)??? On Saturday, November 04 I taught 4 other players how to play Tempus. All 3 of the guys in the game were named Bryan (or spelled Brian). I just barely placed third in this one as I lost the tie-breaker for second place. Pictured from left to right are Brian Leet, Rebecca Leet, Lisa Johnson and Brian Fealy.
Lobster Trap 2006
This game of Leonardo da Vinci was my favorite game played during Lobster Trap. Steffan and I were both pretty lost during the early part of the game and it took a few rounds to get used to it and fully understand it, but it turned out to be such a good game, and one I bought right after the convention! Seated around the table are Steffan O'Sullivan, Ian MacInnes, Dan Blum and Lisa.
Thanksgiving Gaming
On November 22, 2006 we celebrated Thanksgiving at my in-laws. Here I am in a game of Drive with 2 of my wife's cousins from Michigan, Andy and Katie Wilchynski.
New Year's Eve 2006/2007!
Well, at least that explains the goofy hats! This game of  Tombouctou (Timbuktu) was played on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2006. Seated around the table from left to right are Quentin Hall, Scott Robinson, Todd Hadley and Tony Sorrentino.
SGG - Nexus Ops action!
The Salem Gaming Group gathered on January 05, 2007 and played Nexus Ops... a game that I don't play particularly well. Around the table from left to right are Kevin Goldenbogen, Seana Miller and Jon Wandke.
Huang Di at Unity Games
January 27, 2007... Lisa, Ian and I attended Unity Games XII in Framingham, Massachusetts. I am pictured here in the teaching area with my newly published game, Huang Di. The game was  a big success at Unity Games.
Huang Di at Unity Games (part 2)
I had a great time teaching my game to several players at Unity Games, including (pictured) Joe, William, Kevin and Kes. Lisa sits by and watches the game progress. Huang Di will be officially released by JKLM Games in early 2008. If you would like more information on this upcoming game, please contact me or check out the listing on BoardGame Geek: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/27574
